My job title in Aldi is a store apprentice. i carry out store duties on a daily basis working on the shop floor. i interact and communicate with customers any time that i am working in the store. i hold a range of responsibilities at different times depending on what jobs and duties need carried out. Every day i work stock orders and deal with customers.
I have developed a wide range of skills and abilities working in this job. in this job i will get a qualification in retail. i get daily training on new things to do in the store and advance my knowledge.
it took me time to understand the working life a bit more and now with more responsibility i enjoy my job more. i work with a good team and they have helped me advance skills in the workplace.
i feel moderately appreciated by Aldi, in the sense that the company looks after its employees and gives good benefits for its employees. and the colleagues that i work with.
based on what i have learned so far in my apprenticeship i would say it has been structured well. it has been unfortunate that the company doing the qualification side of things collapsed and set back some work in my apprenticeship. most of the work i do physically is fitting and what i need to develop into a better employee.
currently not alot due to multiple circumstances of a company going into administration, and my trainer leaving her job. this has caused setbacks and currently is hard to complete work over the phone without meeting on person.
my employer supports me and my apprenticeship as much as they can. i am giving adequate training and feedback from higher members of staff and managerial. an attitude given is one that "if i work with they will work with me."
my salary for my position is moderately good compared to other similar jobs.
there are few opportunities outside of work but not something i am strongly interested in.
Yes
it is a good place to work from my experience with alot of benefits and opportunities.
speak truthful of yourself. take your time. tell them of my experience
