To lead and organise Validation activities in order to provide an effective validation service and to ensure that all operations, changes and projects relating to processes, facilities, equipment and CSV/IT Validation are assessed and validated in line with regulatory and company requirements. On a day to day basis this involves planning validation activities to ensure customer and business needs are met in alignment with the overall project plans and objectives and writing Validation Documentations.
I have developed my personal communication, and time keeping skills as I have to speak and work with a range of different people in different job roles daily to carry out my role. I have also developed my report writing skills when writing and reviewing technical documents related to quality.
I enjoy my programme a lot as it has given me a lot of opportunities to develop in my career and my current job role. Throughout my apprenticeship I have took on a range of different work which has given me the experience I need to carry out my job role competently.
Yes I feel valued by GSK. GSK have put me through a number of different vocational and academical courses which enable me to complete my job competently. I am also given sufficient work load which contributes to the business needs. I also feel valued within my team as I am treat as equivalent to the other team members.
My programme is well organised. I work at GSK 4 days a week and have 1 day a week to complete my university degree. Over the course of the three year apprenticeship there are several team building development weeks that I have attended which have also enabled me to network with the other GSK apprentices.
I receive the required support that I need from my training provider. When I email Kent University they respond within a good time frame and give me the correct information I need. Every 3 months they training provider come into GSK for a review to ensure I am completing the work and to see how I am getting on.
I receive the required support that I need from GSK. My manager is approachable and I can speak to her and any one of my team if I require help. They also help me with my uni studies every now and again. I feel if I was struggling they would give me the correct support I need.
The salary from GSK is competitive and it meets my needs as an apprentice. Over the 3 years I've had pay rises and bonus' which I feel have been deserved. Also I get use of the GSK perks and pension which is another good bonus of working for GSK.
GSK apprentices tend to meet up and socialise outside of work by going on nights out etc. There are also sports and social facilities next to GSK Barnard castle that we are allowed to use. Social meets are set up with the northern and southern apprentices if you would choose to attend.
Yes
GSK have put given me opportunities to develop within my career and development is promoted within the company massively. GSK have also put me through several courses such as a HNC and a degree which I feel is a really part of completing this apprenticeship. They have also given me real life work experience.
When apply for a job at GSK I don't believe it is about how much technical knowledge that you know or how clever you are it is about how you are as a person, how you would work in a team and how you relate to the GSK values and expectation.
