Tax advisor; assisting the team with various tasks; doing the legwork on client queries / projects; occasionally going on site to visit clients and have face-to-face interactions.
Tax, VAT, accountancy, business and management to name a few. How to formally structure emails and reports in a business context. Effective time management and task delegation / ranking in order of urgency etc.
I am enjoying the work i am given, and the tasks set to be completed. I enjoy the team and cultural feel of the company.
I tended to value myself lower than other people had - they value me as a key member in the team due to margins and costings. Plus through work ethic and focus they have recognised me as hardworking
Whilst i am appreciative of the big break between exams, i do wish some of them were closer together - a) to get them out of the way, and b) so that i can focus on my actual work etc
Whenever i have a question or query i can ask any one in the team for assistance and they will be happy to help me
As per above, whenevr i have questions people are there and happy to help
My salary covers living costs, travel, daily costs (i.e. lunch and socialising) and savings.
EY Charity networks, social groups and overall friendly culture of the company allow for plenty of days / nights out. However, i do wish it'd happen more often
Yes
Overall a great company, good people and great qualifications to get out of it. Also ranked as one of the best companies to work for in the UK.
Research the company and their ethical views; current events / happenings in the world and how that could relate to EY or our clients (e.g. Brexit, tax reforms etc.); be yourself and have fun!
