I'm a business analysts responsible for finding out what the customer actually needs and relaying that to the development team. I am very client facing, and often have to present to them.
I have learned a lot about Project Management and have built my confident through presenting. I have also developed my analysis skills.
I enjoy the new experiences that come with the apprenticeship and meeting new people. I have been on some fun projects, some of which offered freebies almost every week.
I feel fairly valued. Capgemini really celebrate people's achievements. It's especially great when clients show their appreciation for the work you do.
I am halfway through the degree and they support a lot with this. They give us days off to study too. They give us key date well in advance so we can organise ourselves ahead.
Aston University are great. Tutors are easily accessible and the lecturers treat us very respectfully. The support is always there.
We receive a fair amount of support from Capgemini. They allocated mentors to us from people who were ahead of us in the Apprenticeship which was very helpful as we could ask them questions without seeming stupid.
Tje staring salary was really good for someone with no experience. Regular pay and progression is a real bonus. After 4 years my starting salary is up by 80%.
There a lots of social events and volunteering opportunities, especially in schools. They often hold a lot of fundraising activities for charity.
Yes
Joining Capgemini was great for where I was in my life. It allowed me to earn a living that would accommodate my living expenses. I didn't feel like I was taking a step back by studying again. It's also great that I won't have any University debt when I graduate! No Student loan to pay back - hooray!!!
Be yourself and don't underestimate your experiences when giving your answers in the interview. Be confident and show that you are willing and able to learn.
