On a day-to-day basis I work as an assistant tax advisor, in which I do an initial review of various client's computations. I have been involved in various tax audits and many admin tasks such as filing and printing for partner/manager review.
I have learnt more about corporation tax rules and how a computation works and various professional rules and how to perform in a professional environment and the expectations.
I enjoy learning new skills about work. I enjoy it to an extent as I believe it is a massive step from school and hard to adapt to the environment.
I feel valued externally as EY has a big brand name and it is recognised widely, internally I feel it varies with level of employee, i.e. managers value efforts, levels 2 vary as sometimes it is not reflected.
Very well organised.
I receive high levels of support from my counsellor and buddy and various managers and levels 1.
I believe I receive high levels of support
It meets my travel costs and daily costs well.
There are many social events that occur monthly. It would be better if Flex EY rewards were open all year round, i.e. gym membership
Yes
It gives a head start to your future career compared to graduates.
I would advise that to consider that it is a massive change from school and be prepared to rise up to the challenge.
