My role on a day to day basis involves programming robots, designing end of arm tooling on Solidworks and 3D Printing. Also doing maintenance on a production line. I am always going on projects and training to different sites around the uk for example last week I was in Somerset at Active robotics being trained on a knew box erector unit.
I have developed new skills by learning to program different collaborative robots and learning how to design and manufacture end of arm tooling. I had just been training from my previous training provider the mtc on how to manufacture a end of arm tool for the sawyer robot. the training involved putting together a cost sheet, designing the tool. manufacturing and then testing.
I enjoy my program because I am always doing something new and it is always a challenge. it gives me the opportunity to travel the nation to different Dhl sites. I'm also always visiting the newest innovative manufactures for new technologies. I'm always being supported by my manager. I work for the central team in dhl which alone already puts me in prestigious position.
I feel highly valued by DHL. I am trusted by my manager. I get given tasks to do and I am never doubted to complete the task and I already have a high success rate to complete them. when things do go wrong fault is never pointed towards me, the team takes it on the chin.
Very Well organized and well thought out. I am able to balance my busy role because of the well structured plan in place. the well structured plan really works well as it allows me to attend different events to do with advance technologies and to attend training with different companies. attend college and continue to work towards my NVQ Lv3, complete numerous projects etc.
I receive a lot of support when my training provider is absent or not as we keep in touch by phone emailing and skype. my training provider also leave help online so even when I am at home completing coursework I can just login into the online google classroom and read through the help section. if I am still struggling college sets up after college catchup sessions giving people in depth sessions helping them with any work they need help with.
I am always being taught something new by my employer and they always assist me when I need help. if I am ever struggling with something for example I am struggling to operate a piece of machinery. they will the go the thoughts of contacting the provider for that machinery and request training on the machinery no matter the cost.
very well as I am able to afford living costs. but I am getting older and my expenses are going up but I know if I work had and prove my worth I will get a pay rise.
yes as there are engineering events I always get recommended to attend.
