As a requirements planner, I am responsible for ensuring that products do not go out of stock, managing inventory and coordinating manufacturing. I complete ad hoc tasks, engage in projects and I engage with the brand and marketing team to advise on whether their innovations are possible from a supply perspective

The culture is relaxed but extremely professional. All of the teams I have worked in have been friendly and pleasant, engaging in social activities off the job. I love coming to work because I am never bored and working with a brand everyone knows is exciting.
Treated like a member of staff rather than an apprenticeship. Given the same extra opportunities, if not more to get involved in. Managers are keen to learn about the scheme and always have the time for you.
I had a thorough induction plan so I was not overwhelmed. There are many compulsory training courses which are great as well as a training calendar that you can choose when you want to go. The study time is flexible and well organised, they always ensure that we get time to do our qualification. Role specific, there was a clear onboarding programme and it was structured so it could be adapted suited to the pace you learn at.
The tutor from university and the apprenticeship qualification are easy to contact and always reply in 24 hours. You also have face to face interaction with one tutor every quarter so this helps with general guidance and more specific questions to a CMDA rather than just a degree.
Unilever is very focused on wellbeing, so there are many different places to go for support such as HR, a speak out team and managers are always open to discuss as a way to support.
Living at home, my salary more than meets my requirements. I have enough to cover expenses as well as have a life outside of work. The salary is very competitive for an apprenticeship, so even if I was renting, I would still live comfortably.
There are loads of company and team events. There is also a team who arrange optional activities such as sports or walking groups outside of work. There is also a gym on site so it is a very healthy environment.
Yes
It is a modern yet professional company where all staff are valued no matter where you sit in the hierarchy. The salaries are competitive and it is a great place for good wellbeing.
The application process is lengthy. You must do a lot of research on the business, particularly its area on ethics. You must also be confident as they look for more than just grades or a CV.
