My role includes preparing statutory accounts for a variety of businesses- sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. I create and submit vat returns, tag signed accounts, bookkeeping and I’m chrrenrly working out at a clients site.
Definitely. Working at Mazars helps me build on knowledge I learn at college. It puts things into a life perspective which definitely helps with my studies. I have learnt a lot about businesses and financials.
I enjoy my day to day variation of work. College breaks my week up nicely, working at a clients enables me to build on my professional character and widen my knowledge and skills, and being in the office some days allows me to communicate effectively with my team. I enjoy the training programmes and this switches up the routine a bit too. As humans we naturally are more attracted to a switch up in routines, keeps things interesting!
I feel fairly valued at Mazars.
I think it’s well organised and structured.
Depends on the tutor, but overall there is always help if I need it.
A lot of support and guidance is given and is always available if I ask.
I would definitely say that an increase in pay would be welcomed. Having high expenses with getting the train every day from a different city, this sets me back £150 a month alone! I have tried to move into birmingham but on my salary it just wasn’t possible and I had to move back home.
Yes there are a lot of socials, networking activities, CSR opportunities.
Yes
Overall it’s a nice place to work, not too much of a rigid environment, lots of opportunity for development.
Being outgoing, open minded and respectful is a must! Also a healthy dose of motivation!
