First 2 weeks of the Smart Futures programme involved doing workshops in teams (e.g. Dragons Den) which built up necessary skills for the final week where you would be integrated into a working team from one of the service lines.
Gained a CMI Level 2 qualification in Team Leading, and more generally presenting which was tested almost daily.
Really good experience to be doing in the summer as it helped me make new friends and the people working at EY were incredibly supportive.
Given a mentor for many months after the programme which was very useful in making decisions.
Very clear structure across the programme i.e. the divide between first 2 weeks and the 3rd.
Given sufficient support throughout the 3 weeks whether that be for a case study or presentation work
Similar to above, there was a lot of support given throughout whenever it was needed.
Lunch costs were provided
Given social events after the 3 week programme throughout the subsequent year.
Yes
A worthwhile experience in the summer for people like me who had never worked in a professional environment.
Prepare for competency questions prior to the phone interview as they are common for any sort of programme and it's good practice early.
