Test Analyst/ Automation Test Engineer Daily Tasks Include: Analysing systems, creating test cases/suites, executing manual and automated test suites, investigating and reporting defects, creating automation packs with a variety of frameworks (Selenium/Java, F# Canopy, HP UFT). Daily Interactions: I work closely with other Test Analysts and my associated Test Lead/Manager. When on client site I will also have to associate myself with my Delivery Lead, along with working closely with other Test Members and Developers from the client and their associated managers. Responsibilities: My main responsibilities are towards the testing activities I listed above., along with basic tasks such as time sheets. It's also encouraged that I commit myself to other tasks outside of my project, such as working with out apprentice team at events.
I think this would be too bigger a list to write. I have however learnt all of the skills necessary to do my job whilst doing this apprenticeship along with associated qualifications such as the ISTQB. I've also had the opportunity to develop my existing soft skills developing me into a confident speaker with the ability to organise myself effectively and prioritise my work. As part of the degree I've been able to learn a great deal of further technical and interpersonal skills that are associated with my degree. This includes aspects from both Software Engineering and Business Analysis.
I enjoy my programme mainly because I enjoy my day-to-day job and the people I work with. This program is however very intense. This makes certain aspects of life fairly stressful, but with enough drive and the knowledge that the outcome of this programme to be truly worth it, knowing that I'll have 5 years of experience and a degree.
There is an excellent reward system at Capgemini, with your pay and progression reviewed 4 times a year you're able to progress quickly if you put the work in.
Induction was brilliant. 1 Week induction + 1/2 Months worth of training at Aston Uni. The support for study from the company is great, you get an additional 22 Days study leave alongside your Annual Leave The only thing that lets it down is the structure of the Degree on Aston Uni's part.
It very much depends on which module and the tutor. They do offer set times to get in touch with them, however with it being over the phone or skype it can be very difficult to communicate effectively.

To begin with I struggled due to having to move and budget myself with learning how to live independently as part of a house share. After two years I am now on a very comfortable wage with prospect of further pay increase and promotion.
