There were many roles involved during my time at ey, but one essential role that was required on a day to day basis was to be an excellent listener. The reason being is inportant or partners associated with EY would come i and talk to us about the company and its foundation and what we had to do. They also made sure we did group activities everyday which strengthened our relationship with eachother. These activities motivated shy people to get involved with confidence and this is a positive outcome
I have in fact learnt one skill and developed another. One skill that i learnt during my time at EY is great communication skill. In thw first week at EY we would do countless group activities or group related projects e.g dragons den or chinese whispers. This required very good communication skills which i have developed. I was able to communicate freely with others. A skill that i developed was leadership skill. Before i came to EY i had some sort of leadership skill while 9playing for a football team. Ey allowed me to work in groups and assign work to people more efficiently and also taking the time to listen to them.
During my 2 weeks at EY, it was one of the most memorable and best time i had in a long time. EY allowed me to make new friends whom i still talk to and also have various opportunities to meet important people. It was a once in a life experience and i wouldnt trade it for anything.
I felt very valued because EY gave me the opportunity to work with one of the big 4 and also work at one of the main branch at canary warf. Not a lof people of my age can have this experience, but i do and i feel special. In addition i wqs able to go on important buisness trips which meant they trusted me and that made me feel welcomed.
It was very well structured. The first week was the training week where they taught us all the esse tial skill needed to work for them. Each day was broken down into periods where we would do something group related. And then the second week was the buisness experience where we went to our designated work site to resume our experience. In my opinion they did and excellent job in organising this programme to be completed within 2 weeks
The amount of support my training provider provided me was up to how i am. In my case my training provider granted a lot of support when i needed it. They would help me understand tasks or help me with them if i needed it.
The support i recieved from my employer was also a lot as i was a person who consistently asked for assitance. The employer was ther when i needed them and they never get frustrated when i ask too many questions.
The salaru is decent for a 2 weeks work experience programme but they could've increased the hourly pay to make it perfect or motivate others in joining. However i didnt mind as my intentions were to recieve the qualification and be able to stand out when applyig for university's
To my knowledge no, however there are a few opportunities that i missed in the past months but i believe ey was the opportu ity that i'm glad i didnt miss.
Yes
I want my friends to experience the wonder and enjoymeny which i experienced. I want them to be more active and be more social. EY is a place where theu can achieve many things and unlock their potentials. EY is a very friendly community and my friends would without a shadow of a doubt enjoy themselves. It is a once in a life time opportunity and i dont want them to miss it.
Be confident and motivated when applying for EY. Be a very very social person who will talk to everyone, communication is probably the most important advice i can give. Have very good teamwork skill. Dont be shy as everyone at EY will welcome you with open arms. And the final advice is Have Fun!.
