My current job is Hawk Jig & Tool at Warton. My job is to design using CATIA v5 tools to make the job on the shop floor easier and more efficient. My tasks change everytime i have completed the job before. When you have design the product you must make a drawing sheet, Billing of Material and also a Risk Assessment. My responsibilites in this placement is to go down to every D-sum and take notes with anything to do with my team and give feedback to them about how it went.
Whilst taking part on this apprenticeship i have learnt alot of new skills such as: Basic Hand on Skills, Lumming, Electronics, Aircraft Fitting, CATIA v5, Microsoft Programmes. These skills are useful all around site. Some of the most important skills i have learnt though are: Communication Skills, Teamwork, Gaining Self Confidence, Organasation Skills.
Overall i enjoy working a BAE Systems a lot. I wake up and enjoy coming to work as there is something new every day. Where i'm working now is a friendly office environment. This Apprenticeship has meet and gone over my expectations as i have learnt so much already. I enjoy my job.
Even though i am an apprentice my manager talks to my like i am a member of hsi team. He treats me like an adult and makes me do my jobs by myself but if i need help he is there for guideance and also to help me. My involvement with tasks is a lot as i'm learning and my supervisor and work colleagues want to see what i can do.
My Apprenticeship Programme is well organised and structure. The induction week was very important as you had to listen and learn about the Company and also what you will be doing whilst doing the apprenticeship. The training is very important as you must follow the proceducers to making the job like on site. The support from your supervisor, colleagues, friends and assessors helps you with anything you need.
I receive alot of support from my assessor and supervisor. If i have any problems i could go to any of them and they would help me and tell me ways of improving it. Their attitude is great and they are willing to help me. I enjoy it alot.

My salary is great, it pays for my living cost, travelling cost, daily cost for food and drink, social costs.
There is a lot of chance to work outside of work such as: Volunteering, German Exchange, World Skills, Company activites, Company Events. When i wasnt working, i'm a coach for a football team and used to be a referee.
