  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Apprentice Structural Technician. Most of my tasks consist of computer project modelling and engineering drawings. I work with engineers and other technicians to complete my tasks. Sometimes I go to coordination meetings with external partners such as the architects. I work on large projects around Manchester and also other locations.

  • I am now well-equipped to use the software Revit for all my project work. I am always completing courses to improve my knowledge and skills.

  • I thoroughkly enjoy the whole experience that Arupprovides me.

  • I feel extremely valued by Arup and my hard work is always recognised.

  • Everything is very organised within Arup as they have a very successful apprenticeship scheme.

  • Everything is very good.

  • I receive a lot of support from my employer and all the teams involved.

  • It is a very good competitive salary.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are various networking events and social events available out of office hours.

  • Yes

  • It is an amazing apprenticeship to be enrolled in and the work is very interesting.

  • The application process was very easy to understand and the interview was comfortable to partake in.
