3 week work experience for students studying alevels. first 2 weeks learnt key skills for a professional environment and widened network. last week shadowed professionals and completed tasks they would do day to day.
developed entry-level accounting skills and improved communication and presentation
everyone was supportive and helpful and it met my expectations fully! it confirmed that i would like to pursue a career in this area with a similar firm.
i felt valued as i received great feedback and was provided with a mentor for six months following. i also still receive regular emails from the foundation
the team organised it well and also incorporated leisure/social activities to develop relationships. the support and feedback was excellent. i enjoyed learning skills for two weeks and then 'working' for a week, maybe another week working would be good.
great support received throughout!
