On a day to day basis I will work with several technical software's, these include auto-desk revit 16-18, blue-beam, CAD and Navisworks. I can help set up projects to modelling to resolving clashes and speaking with engineers of different disciplines for coordination or new routes or resolutions. I can also sometimes assist engineers with calculations and help them with the software's I've mentioned above.
I have learnt an extensive amount of new skills from this job. Never before have I been exposed to so many different and complex software's and the engineering environment in general, I can now say i am fairly confident in a lot of the technical software we use.;
I enjoy what I do very much and actually enjoy coming into work, which I know some people can't say.
Since I have been here about 7 months, I am still new. However I am valued by Arup and my technician team especially.
The programme is fairly organised and works well.
My Training provider is a separate company outside of Arup. They give the apprentices a fair amount of support.
Arup give me a very big amount of support and want the best for your own development within their company.
My salary is very good, especially for my age. There is a great competitive amount and is generous.
Yes there are quite a few, however this is limited due to my level of experience. These opportunities grow as I continue to learn and rise in the company.
Yes
Because the opportunity and the experience is limitless.
Be prepared for a level of professionalism because it will be rewarded and recognised. You will be appreciated by Arup.
