I am in the intermediary marketing team so I keep assets up to date and put them through Miriam so that there is a clear audit trail of any changes that get made. I put together my teams weekly message and I also brief in my sub teams section of the weekly bulletin.
I have learnt loads. I've been on many training courses and webexes that have taught me a lot about the role. I also have developed my communication and organisational skills. I feel a lot more confident in my own ability.
The programme has been thoroughly enjoyable. Everyone at Prudential has been so helpful and encouraging. The workload is manageable and there is lots of support for the apprenticeship work. It is even better than I had hoped and expected.
I do feel valued, although I know I am not a major asset. My manager always shows her appreciation and tells me when I'm doing well. My team try to involve me in different projects and they recognise that I can help them out with their work so I feel like they do value me.
The programme is very structured. The induction week was well prepared and delivered well. The training and support we receive is excellent. Our mentor is very helpful and is always available if we need anything. Meetings are scheduled regularly and they keep track of everyone's progress.
I receive a lot of support. She meets up with us every month or so. She is also just a phone call or email away and is always happy to give us any help that we need. She looks out for our best interests.
My manager is excellent. She explains everything really well and is happy to drop everything (within reason) to assist me. She never leaves me to be stuck with something and we have regular 121s so that she can check if I have any problems.
My salary meets my costs fairly well. It covers my petrol, living costs and daily costs and still allows me to socialise and go on holidays.
There have been volunteering opportunities for us. I have also been to a couple of events and seminars with my team.
Yes
They are a good company to work for and I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I've learned a lot and think I am much more confident in my own abilities now.
Be yourself. Ask questions and be polite and professional. Smile and be friendly - remember that there's always someone watching. Be honest about your abilities but don't undersell yourself.
