My role focuses on procurement, commercial management and estimating project costs. This involves supplier negotiations over payments and contract terms, tendering for goods and services, and producing cost plans for construction.
I have developed a variety of skills including negotiation, contract practice, and infrastructure/construction knowledge.
The programme is extremely rewarding and has given me exceedingly bright career prospects. The process has been enjoyable.
I am often relied upon and this is shown by the projects I am tasked with.
There is a lack of autonomy, however the all of the tools I need to succeed are available to me.
My training provider makes it very clear to me, who I need to talk to for certain issues and advice.
My employer takes an interest in my development and supports me when requested.
For my age group the salary is agreeable, however The experience I have would likely attract a higher paid role.
