Working as a trainee telecommunications engineer, working both in the classroom and the field. Doing Nvq work every month and putting what we learn into practise working on the network.
The biggest skills I have learnt is how to problem slove and work independently.
Overall I would rate this apprenticeship 8/10. The develop and help you get throughout the programme is excellent, giving all the correct help and tools to strive.
I feel very valued at BT, more than just a number.
The trainee ship is very well structured with a programme set out from day one for your development.
Overall you receive a huge amount of support, from your coach, manger, buddies and other engineers.

Not so many Opportunities outside of work
