Due to 6 monthly job rotation, my role changes frequently. I currently am working on user management for a car manufacturing group. As part of this, I work on user manager for the franchises. I work with the users, and my role is very visible to the client. My current role is the same type of work day to day, which allows me to work on my university whilst still gaining experience and skills at work.
I have developed a range of skills over the past 20 months. From technical to teamwork, I believe I have learnt and developed a lot more than I would if I just went to university without the work experience along side it.
I immensely enjoy the programme, and have recommended it to many peers.
Very valued. There is a great GAP programme, and we are reviewed differently to reflect the needs of the apprentices.
Very organised. There is a dedicated team focused on working on the programme. It is well structured, although I wish there would be shorter gaps between modules ending and starting.
Aston is great, and we are able to contact our course & degree leaders if/when we require additional help.
This tends to be great, but obviously varies depending on the client. Some apprentices have time whilst at work to work on their university, I currently do not due to the high volume of work I need to achieve in a day.
Currently, my salary meets all my costs within reason. It is above minimum wage for an apprentice.
There is a large amount of opportunities. I believe I attended 15-20 events within an 8 month period.

Great support system. Great company to work for. Everyone is kind and friendly. Degree apprenticeships are the way forward.
