My role is a trainee engineer on the fibre and network delivery side of the business. Day to day life involves different types of fibre work including splicing cabling and exchange work
Yes I've learnt how to splice fibres but still need a lot more training
Learning new things when I have work to do
Sometimes I feel valued when i complete jobs but other times I don't feel valued and think sometimes we are forgot about
Not very organised as I joined on the retro build programme which was a new thing when I joined and unfortunately it failed and after this there has not been much work to participate in so my learning has suffered by this
Although the training hasn't been perfect my training provider offers 100% support throughout
100%
Been on the traineeship it is a good wage and I can manage my costs with it so yes it's good
Not sure
Yes
Because it is the best firm I've worked for and looks after its employees
Come into the business open minded but definitely apply as it is a good job when everything goes right
