Resourcing Apprentice Daily Task: -Booking interviews -Creating job adverts -Responding to email queries -Responding to phone queries -Assisting the team -Making reports Daily interactions internally: -Hiring Managers -Internal job applicants -My team Daily interaction externally: -Candidates
I attend a lot of meeting and conference which along with my team have helped me learn about the HR and recruitment world. I gained more professional customer services skills as I have to email and call external customers daily.
I am really enjoying my time here at network rail and have a lovely supportive team. I am learning new things all the time and being shown new things to do.
I feel appreciated by my manager and my team as well as some of the hiring managers I arrange interviews for. Also with external candidates for helping with their needs from rearranging interviews to sending them more details on the job they have applied for
I think my programme is well structured including both work and college. I attend college one day a month, I was given the dates I would be attending college at the beginning of my course. I have regular meetings with my manager and my college tutor to assess how I am getting on.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider, as mentioned in my answer above I attend monthly college sessions as well as having monthly visits at work from my tutor. If I am struggling with a task I am able to ask my tutor for help and if I am struggling to finish work set on time I can ask for an extension.
My manager is very supportive and helps with any queries or issues I may have. We have regular review meetings and one to ones. I talk to her about my college task and she provides me with information that may help me with the task, such as powerpoints network rail have.
My salary meets my costs- higher than I expected for an apprenticeship and better than most apprentices get paid.
We are given a number of days each year to be able to do volunteering should we wish. I am able to attend many external and internal events such as conferences and team building.

It is a great company to work for.
The application process can sometimes take a while so be patient. Ensure you bring your right to work documentation along to your interview. Attend assessment days should you be invited.
