I am a network engineer apprentice at BT and on a day to day basis I have to take calls with engineers in order to keep our services on our routers up to date and running on a 24 hour basis.
I have developed my confidence through presentations and meeting and speaking to new people in the company, also learning technical knowledge about BT and how the network runs.
I feel very happy with my programme and it gives me the opportunities I need in order to help me.
I feel like their is room for improvement when it comes to the recognition in the company
The structure of our programme is very well laid out with a 6 month rotation plan in order to get us to experience all different sectors of the business.
I receive the support I need when doing my day to day role and within achieving milestones in my apprenticeship.

The salary that we get for our apprenticeship is very good however for me personally it doesn't meet my costs as I have to travel further from everyone else.
In our business their are several volunteering opportunities that we get offered and activities that help to meet new people
Yes
I recommend BT because their are so many opportunities and it allows you to get paid to learn and get a degree at Uni instead of paying for it yourself which is a huge opportunity.
To make the most of your opportunities and think about how much of a good option this is for you compared to Uni also to not panic in the assessment centre days and just be yourself that's what they like to see. Also to think about your application and why you want to join because BT is a great place to work out and taking it seriously is the best thing you can.
