Network Development - Creating the optimal network solutions which benefit the business best, not just at a site level. In this role I will deal with depot Logistics Managers and site managers to implement cost benefit and service changes. Projects are allocated such as fuel management.
Level 3 Logistics run by First4Skills. This means an external consultant comes in to teach the course to you. You will get a buddy which you can discuss things with you wouldn't want to with your manager.
The programme is enjoyable and the team within NPC are all a great group of people. We all get on outside of work, not just within the workforce.
Early on in the role it is difficult to feel valued. When you start to accept responsibility then this makes you start to feel valued.
In the second year this is far more structured than the first trial year. With the First4Skills looking after this it is very well structured.
Once a month she comes to visit to review the work we have done.
Some time is allocated by your manager to complete the tasks given by the training provider.
As I live at home the salary covers my limited expenditure.
There is a lot that our company does for the local community. I can go help with charity events, local schools and areas. The company holds events for their managers.

The job opens up many opportunities to progress further unto the business.
The job needs to be one which will suit what you want to do. The practice of applying for a job is always useful, half of an interview is if they think you are suited to the job and the other half is if you connect the business.
