HR Assistant - My role is to assist my manager and team in carrying out HR projects and admin work. It involves producing contracts, producing reports, interviewing, and important work that aims to shape the future of the business
People skills have improved, built a wider network, excel skills have improved as well as reporting and analytical skills
I like the rotation system and the opportunity to see all aspects of the business. University work is challenging but interesting
I feel like I carry out important work and contribute to a team
The programme is organised from a work perspective however university work and the time we spend at university could be better organised. E.g. too long breaks, not being told exactly what the degree involved when we started
The ACL team are helpful and provide good advice. Check ups from the coordinator of the course are useful
Good support is available and queries are dealt with well be the TA/TD team. Student reps are also effective at providing support for uni work
I feel a more competitive salary would benefit me due to the cost of travel and as a young person trying to save money for the future. Other companies seem to offer higher salaries for a degree apprenticeship but I understand Vauxhall are not in the financial position to offer increases currently
CSR days available, weekly football, competitions for prizes are good but could be more variety and opportunity to visit other sites and meet new people.
Yes
Its a good business to develop and build more knowledge on the manufacturing industry.
If you are looking for a friendly engaging apprenticeship with a business looking to progress and grow, i would recommend. However if you would like a more competitive salary perhaps look at what other companies can offer
