Currently I am in the outbound supply team, helping with the stock that is being shipped to South Korea and the Gulf.On a day to day basis, this involves interaction with the market and making sure we provide them with the best customer service we can. I raise orders, check forecasts, update line lists etc.
I have really broadened my knowledge on systems such as SAP and excel. Before i started my knowledge on both of these was extremely limited and now I am very competant with both of them. My confidence has grown massively as well, this is due to having to interact with a wide range of people in my role.
I think the programme I am currently on is great, it's given me an opportunity to learn whilst still doing a full time job. It's given me experiences I would never have got from going to uni. Also, the fact we get the opportunity to do 2 different roles within the 2 years is great experience. I would recommend it to anybody.
I think Boots really value their apprentices, in some places apprentices are looked down on. At Boots everybody treats us the same as if we were normal employees which is great.
The programme is very well structured and on the whole is very clear.
I receive all the support I would need from my training provider.
I also receive great support from my employer which makes me feel really valued as an employee.
For an apprenticeship it is an extremely good salary.
Yes lots of opportunities are provided.
Yes
Great company to work for, fun and exciting, and they really value their employees.
I would definitely recommend it. Boots don't necessarily look for those with the highest grades, as long as you show you're passionate and willing to learn new skills Boots will really respect that.
