Working toward chartered accountant status many internal courses to advance tax knowledge, which have been held all around the country. I have increased my knowledge in the persoanl tax arena.
EY are an excellent company to work for and the team I am in are fantastic, the expectations I had of a big 4 firm have been excelled at EY. There is work life balance and a really good company culture.
Recognition of my performances are high, regular feedback cycles allow constructive feedback and recognition on a regular basis. The team are actively including me on projects, which is brilliant to see.
The support, programme and internal processed related to the school leaver programme are very well put together. There is a dedicated team that can be contacted if you have an related questions.

Allow for flexible working to encourage learning Lots of support materials Team are very supportive
Living in the city is always going to be costly, to be brutally honest the salary does meet the costs of living, but it is very tight. For the city that I am based in compared to the salaries in the same position in other areas I feel it is rather low.
Lots of opportunities outside of work, socials, internal charity events. The EY Foundation do loads of activities. There are 'Families' to allow you to network with similar people.
Yes
Great company culture and support with loads of opportunities. There is so much variance in client work that you can be exposed to so may different tax concepts, whether that be international or national tax.
Be yourself, EY don't recruit based on qualification, they recruit based on how you come across as a person, will you fit into the culture and do you have good social skills in order to communicate well with clients and colleagues around the world. The process is very competitive but you can't expect anything less from a big 4 firm. Do your research and be yourself!
