Executive Assistant - Secretary to partners/directors in the firm. This entails expenses/meetings/flights/event organisation/diary and calendar management and supporting my portfolio in any way I can.
I have learnt how to manage and organsie my work load and have developed many skills within the role. This includes being able to file expense reports, book flights and accommodation, organise internal/external meetings. Also have developed knowledge within business (e.g. project management, types of businesses etc.)
I enjoy my programme very much. The role is demanding, which has given me motivation to do improve and impress in everything i do. The team and firm i work for is amazing, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful which has made my transition into the role very smooth and easy.
I feel as within my team i am valued to an extent. This is because i am still new and i feel like i have to earn my value and respect within the firm, as time goes on i believe that i will become a more valued memeber to the team and EY.
Everything is well organsied. I always have tasks to be getting on with and my team are always there to hand over work that they feel is appropriate to my learning.
I receive good support from my training provider. At first, the support was minimal but that is understandable because of the apprentice scheme being new to them and EY. As time has gone on i feel like the support has improved.
I receive great support from EY. Everyone is always there if i need help with anything and they are always striving to make my time here at EY as worth while as possible.
I feel as if my salary meets my costs well. I have no complaints with my wages, obviously i would like more but doesn't everyone haha.
EY are great at organising events/opportunites outside of work, there is always something going on which anyone can get involved in.
Yes
Even though this is my first full time job, i feel as if i could not have found a better firm to work for. It has given me a sense of importance that i never had before. I feel since joining EY, i have changed massively as a person, i have matured greatly and i have a drive to succeed in life that i never thought i would have.
When applying for EY, it is best to take an interest in the firm. Research into what EY is about and what they are looking for from new applicants. This allows you to have an idea of what EY is about and how you joining EY wil benefit the firm as well as yourself.
