I am a Material Planner wihtin the material control function at BMW Plant Oxford. Daily tasks involve ensuring all parts I am responsible for arrive on time, attending team meetings and contributing a fresh pair of eyes to operational problems within the Logisitcs fucntions as I change placements. I have been assigned to many projects all of which I have completed effectively and applied mysefl accordingly. I thrive of problem solving so I enjoy being involved in projects! I am also the team leader for the Logistics Newsetter that gets sent out to over 300 logistics employees and associates.
Working towards my Chartered Business Management degree is ensuring I learn lots of news skills. I am also developing presentation skills in high level business meetings as well improving interperosnal skills.
Very much so, the team aspect and sense of all working together to acheive a common goal is very motivational. I also enjoy the work enviroment and culture!
Extremely valued, this is acheived through effective management and ensutring I am always involed in a project. I have received lots of recoginition which motivates me to perform again and again.
Very well organised as my calender is regularly full of meetings and appointments. My apprenticeship plan is already orgsanised for the next three years, so it is very structured. However day to day activites may be more flexible, but I enjoy this flexibiltiy as it allows me to work around any meetings or busy periods of time I may have.
Lots of support is given through university.
Lots of support is offered through BMW, they ensure I have the skills needed and support needed to complete my tasks effectively.
This meets my costs just about after rent and large costs of a car are taken out!
There are benefits outside of work for working for BMW, such as discounted gym memberships and money of cars and phones. There are also BMW socials that I attend.
