  • This varies as we change placements every 6 months. Can include monthly reporting, data and variance anlysis, forecasting and budgeting, providing commentary on financial information, using various internal tools to download and report on data etc.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Working in a professional environment boosts confience in dealing with people of all levels of their career and also backgrounds. This is a key life skill. I have also gained technical expertise in programs such as Excel and Powerpoint, and various add ons to these programs that can be used.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I like the exposure to different areas of the business and if you choose, locations as well. It is good to meet different people and have different experiences to get a more rounded development. The work is challenging and you are in charge of your own destiny in terms of pushing yourself and looking for greater responsibility and tasks. Siemens has a good culture which encourages networking and good employee welfare.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Siemens?
  • Well valued, as we have a heirarchy in place to manage our progress and oversee our development/help us find placements/roles etc. Awareness of the programme across the business is generally good and people respond well to your position.

  • Very well. Clear communication of upcoming activities and how best to go about things when we start, and as our needs dictate whilst on the programme.

  • Lots. BPP cannot be faulted in any way for the volume and quality of revision materials they provide.

  • As required, They are only an email or call away.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Quite well. I am able to have an active social life with minimal need to watch my spending when living at home.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes - there are regular emails sent out with upcoming events, and various societies and networks to tap in to if you want to. There is also a big network of accademy students and graduates to do things with.

  • Yes

  • It is a company who looks after their employees well, and has plenty of opportunities for progression.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
  • Do your research, prepare as much as possible. Come to terms with the greater workload arising from work and study, and be 100% sure it is for you.
