I am a signalling apprentice, and work to maintain the signalling and other associated equipment.

yes, following diagrams with accuracy, testing electrical equipment and completing basic checks on points work.

very much so.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

organisation in parts (additional learning needs)is very good however, in booking courses is poor. additionally letting apprentices know what is required after the initial 22 weeks is completely lacking, I have requested clarification as have been told by previous apprentices that I need to do certain work but not been told by the course. I am more than happy to help create a tools to help with this

loads very enthusiastic

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

could do with being slightly higher in the first year, second year looks to be much better however for people in my age range the 3rd year salary 8is not much of a step up. despite the improvement in our ability

no matter what you have done before the training given will enable you to go as far as you want
