  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work as a store assistant on the shop floor, I put out stock and help customers. Due to my age I am not yet till trained but I will be within a few months.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt many new skills, mainly skills that are retail based, such as stock rotation. But i also have devolved on my social skills and interaction skills, as well as team working.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it thoroughly, it gives me something to do and keeps me active.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Aldi?
  • I feel very valued, the company is very good at making everyone feel like cogs in a very large clock.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme itself is structured very well, I have had a few problems with organising dates on which my mentor comes to visit, however this should stop as my manager has had a word with the company.

  • As much as needed, he always is active on his email and he provides all the information i need to help with the programme

  • A lot, my employer has always been there to help, she is very good at making me improve on my weaknesses and strengths, and has always kept me feeling like I accomplish something.

  • It meets every cost, as I dont have any outgoing bills the money is all extra, and it pays very well

  • Yes there are a few.

  • It is a company that is growing and has a large future, and joining it and doing good at your job will get you rewarded and higher in the ranks

  • To always listen to the boss, and think smarter not just work harder
