My day to day basis depends on the day as I have a wide variety of tasks that I do during the day such as tills, working delivery or backstock, specials and carding the store
I have learnt a wide variety of skills from this job such as dealing with customers and payment methods. How to keep a store clean and presentable to increase sales. The main part that I have learnt is tills
I enjoy the programme as there is always room for me to challenge and improve myself in different aspects making the job more enjoyable as I’m not stuck doing the same thing everyday
I feel very valued by Aldi with nice colleagues and management who I feel that I can talk to if I have any issues in the workplace or at home and they value my opinions on stuff even if I’m just an apprentice
The programme is really structured with regular meeting with my trainee to progress in my programme and to support me where it is needed.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider who is always willing to help and is an email or phone call away if I need any help in any aspects of the job
I think I recieve a good amount of support from my employer who is always open to support me with personal or workbase problems helping with a solution to improve
The salary that I earn at Aldi is good because I can pay for essential things that are needed such as rent and also have enough money spare to go and do my hobbies
There are plenty of opportunities for me outside of work whilst at Aldi
Yes
I would recommend Aldi because it is a fast paced environment where you will learn from a wide variety of retail exercises such as tills, shop operations such as delivery working, backstock working, chiller, specials and freezer
The tips I would give to anyone applying to Aldi is to be open to having a day to day basis which is not always the same. It is hard work but worth it as you will learn a massive amount whilst in the company
