  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Its enjoyable as it is challenging, however sometimes the workload is incredibly pressured. Working with many experienced individuals helps me to develop and enjoy myself as my colleagues around me also are enjoying themselves. Many opportunities to network with other colleagues, either through networking sessions, parties or college (all business departments)

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?
  • As a whole company we do well to recognise how teams perform. We hand out monthly awards for employee of the month which is a cash prize. Individually as a team I feel their could be more encouragement for the whole team as singling out people for the employee of the month does not always work,

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Well structured as I receive college dates on time and am aware of the next steps 2 or so months before they occur. Have a good stint in the office between exams, which is enough to gain a lot of experience on a lot of different projects. Always have support by other colleagues and college tutors etc.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • 2 weeks of college before an exam, in a classroom setting with other members of Deloitte who are sitting the same exam as me. 2/3 days of support via online, this comes in the form of an online webinar. Always can contact tutor before an exam via email or telephone.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Coaching sessions happen on a quarterly basis with a partner or director from another team within M&A who does not work in the same sector so they have an unbiased opinion and you feel comfortable to tell them anything that is bothering you. Catch ups with partners and directors (monthly)

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • It is a good salary, which I believe is market leading for apprenticeships (most likely due to the nature of work within M&A). Overall, happy with the salary I had earned when I first joined and increases have been very good year on year. Also, bonuses are fairly good each year.

    8/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes - lots of opportunities to socialise amongst work colleagues outside of work. There are M&A parties, sector parties, monthly events with your individual teams, graduate events, opportunities to have lunch and learn sessions with an external person from Deloitte in order to learn more about the profession and many external classes that are provided.

    9/10

  • 9. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Deloitte give the person who joins a great chance to learn and develop skills in the professional services sector. It is a very enjoyable way to learn and develop as many other people join at the same level. There is a clear career pathway as well as the chance to gain recognised professional qualifications.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?
  • When applying to join Deloitte you should make sure that you do your best and try to enjoy the process (the Deloitte team try to make it as engaging as possible and there are lots of fun tasks to take part in as well as the final interview). For the final interview, it is really simple, just be yourself and be prepared.
