I have to learned the ins and outs of a corporate business whilst also learning key skills relevant to my tasks I am In constant contact with both customers and TPI's trying to provide them with whatever is required.
I have not only learned key skills related to the role but have learned key skills you need as an individual such as team building and how to be outspoken whilst also learning to take on others ideas and adapting them to make the final result best.
I enjoy my programme massively and do not think I would gain this enjoyment from a college and school I genuinely feel like my work is productive and useful whilst maintaining the fun element I was looking for within an apprenticeship
although the company is globally recognised and has hundreds of thousands of employee's I do genuinely feel like a cog in such a bigger picture and everyone around you recognises the good work you do for example I have ben buzzed twice already and it does make me proud.
the programme is really well organised as I started off with an induction pack and made me feel ready for when I started independent work. It allows you to gain all the required knowledge without drowning you in work, it is like subliminally being given work as you pick up so much knowledge without even realising you are.
My trainer provides me support both academically and personally within the workplace, I was very nervous when first starting as it was completely outside my comfort zone but he made me feel welcome and I settled in quickly, he always seems to be free if I need help with work or my confidence in the office. He honestly goes past his job requirements to know you feel comfortable and in the correct environment to work.
I receive lots of support from all aspects of my team, my trainer is constantly helping and picking up on small things I can improve whilst my team are constantly showing me new ways to find what I need to quicker or how to do things more efficiently. My tem also notice my mood and it makes you feel as if they are there for you when you are having a tough day.
I have never earned money before so it is a lot of money to start off on and allows me to save for my future eg: car, house, presents. Although I would like to be a millionaire already I do think the wage is acceptable for what we do especially as we are learning so much whilst earning money, schools gladly let you learn for free.
There is a lot of choice outside E.ON but very few of them provide you with the future E.ON can at the competitive wage they do. For me it was the easiest decision I have made at such a vital time as well.
Yes
E.ON is a welcoming company with a great initiative for drive from the CEO's down to the apprenticeships. Everyone has a view to grow alongside the company and it is an exciting place to work as there are constantly new projects that draw interest from people around the globe.
Do not panic if you do not get accepted E.ON always have offers available and are constantly updated positions to best suit people. Also do not worry about the work at first it seems daunting but everyone is there to support you, the business is like one family nobody wants to see anyone fail.
