I am a customer advisor, so my role involves helping customers with their day to day banking needs simple or complex.
I have always worked in customer service, but this has developed my skills and knowledge in the banking industry as prior to this I had no experience working in a financial institute
I thoroughly enjoy my programme as I get to converse with all kinds of different people and assist them with their queries or problems. I love being able to help so many different people with various problems and allowing them to leave satisified I've done the most I could have done for them
I feel very valued here, my issues are heard should I have any and I receive praise and recognition when I do the right thing for my customers or colleagues.
It can be a bit hectic as my job and branch can get very busy, but my programme is flexible to suit that and it is as organised as I believe it can be
I receive lots of support from training provider in meeting with my trainer, and if I'm ever struggling with anything or need an answer to a question I can just give her a call. I always get the support I need
I receive a lot of support from my employer, I just wish I could spend more time focusing on my apprenticeship work but with the branch being so hectic I understand this can be hard to achieve sometimes.
Yes, I am very happy with my salary and how it meets my costs. I do not struggle paying for what I need to, and have money to treat myself if I want to which is amazing.
I have opportunities outside of work to volunteer to teach childeren and adults about the importance of internet safety which I think is fabulous.
Yes
I feel like I am a valued employee here and that means a lot to me coming from jobs where I have felt like nothing. I love my job and the people I do my job with, I couldn't be happier.
Just be yourself. Have a positive outlook and a smile on your face and you can't go wrong!
