  • I am a deputy manager, which means that i am responsible for carrying out all work required to ensure the smooth running of my assigned area in the business and for following all reasonable instructions from the Company and managers above me. this could be anything from working on the safe and managing thr tills so managing specific sections of the store

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of new skills such as customer service and how to work efficiently. I have further developed my money handling skills as I have been used to dealing with cash from customers before my apprenticeship but now i can donit much faster and in larger quantities.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy working with aldi because it allows me to learn so much, with the waybthe store is ran, it means that every day Is a different one. the apprenticeship program is great because I get to look into all different aspects of the store and understand not just how they work but why too

  • I feel valued by the company, everything from keeping employees updates with what's going on in the business with "business updates" videos on the my aldi app to having a communications pack roll down through the store with tons of information in it which is really helpful and makes me feel included

  • I like the company, the work ethic and pace suits me really well as I like working fast and efficiently. the store in general is great too with tons of discounts and is rapidly growing as a company. we got loads of benefits too through using the my aldi app


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • be prepared for hard work, it's much more if a graft than I thought it would be going into it. but I've learned to enjoy it. also the staff are great, I've not worked in a store that has bad members of staff yet, it's justna good time
