Job title: Software testing/integration. Daily tasks: Testing software fixes to given requirements/bugs Interactions: Predominantly within my team for the product we are working on. Few outside interactions with colleagues within my team of 26. Responsibilities: Maintenance of Jira board and testing of actions. Project: application pathways for accounts online.
I have learnt professional skills and how to work within A business, and have learnt business and technical skills, in this role revolving around the development of software the testing of it helping me spot for bugs through the backend and front end.
Enjoy work and social side and get on well with all the other apprentices even across sites such as Milton Keynes and Leicester.
Feel appreciated by managers, team and my fellow colleagues and have not been treated like an apprentice but A proper member of the team.
Induction 8 months ago I found useful especially introducing me to certain members of T&O, my placement I feel I have been happy in and would give feedback to others as A good scheme in general and with the placements you get, the university side I found manageable.
While in Lectures I feel as if I get the proper support and they lecturers answer me appropriately, Some out of lecture support I know other apprentices have had issues with, however I do enjoy the learning side.
I find my line manager from both placements to be brilliant introducing me to the role and challenging me and offering help whenever I need it, My apprentice manager is brilliant and genuinely wants to help and know I could always rely on her if I had an issues, same the emerging talent team and feel like they really care and are helpful.
Support my living well, travel costs for me are high but I travel 1000 miles every 3 weeks to and from work however this is nothing to do with the apprenticeship just where I am currently living. Travel expenses covered when I need them to be for business.
Have partook in voluntary days to help out, Milton Keynes is a good location and will be planning to move there to be closer to work.
Yes
As I enjoy and benefit from it.
General structure to the day and anything I could think I did that I felt others would benefit from.
