My role within the company is being a technical apprentice. Within this role I will move around the company to get a good understanding of what a technical engineer my do. at the end of my apprenticeship i will be able to decide where i want to end up. some options could be design, planning and shop support. Day to day tasks vary depending on the placement you are in. At the moment I'm in a planning placement, this means day to day tasks consists of planning work for the shop floor
New skills i have learnt is how to use different software packages like CATIA, this is good as it allows for me to virtually see how the helicopter is put together. I have also developed my skills in the microsoft software packages. this is good as it makes my work look professional and i am able complete assignments easier
i enjoy my programme very much. I am able to decide where i want to work, and this allows for me to find a job role that i may end up working in in the future. I also enjoy my programme as i learn valuable like skills throughout the course of the apprenticeship
I feel very valued by Leornardo, this is because they always cater for the needs of the apprentices by giving them all the gear that they need to complete the course, as well as this they will offer support whenever you need it throughout the course of the college years
My prgramme is very well structured, this is is because you learn all the basics in the first year, this then sets you up for when you join site. Also you learn level 3 first, this sets you up perfectly for the HNC that you will go on to do in the 3rd and 4th year
I receive as much support as i would need throughout the course of the apprenticeship. Whether this be with support to help me throughout me college courses, or help within the work place. They will also provide support for any issues you may have in your home life, such as family issues.
my employer will provide all the help i need. They will offer support to me to help get my work qualifications completed at a high standard. They will also provide help if you start to struggle as you may be having issues at home, such as parents divorce or you are moving out.
My salary packet meet my cost demands very well, i am paid an amount where I am able to live a healthy life style. Also i am getting paid enough so that i can afford to by any supplies i need for work whether this be in the form of textbooks or supplies i can afford them.
There is many opportunities outside of work like socials. this is great as it allows for you to feel part of the company and be involved. It also allows for you to meet new people and make new friends. AS well as socials you have great sporting events
