Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Current duties include assisting and learning from skilled engineers on a wide range of equipment covering a number of planned and problem solving activities. Currently completing a project to improve current procedure whcih I am running assisted by a mentor. Daily interactions are with both other engineers and supervision.
Qualifications include BTEC Level 3, currently working toward NVQ Level 3 and HNC. Skills imporved are hand skills, technical skills and problem solving skills.
Work is failry enjoyable yet sometimes I feel under utilised, also my work area has very limited oppurtunity for progression. Company culture is good yet current climate makes environment uncomfortable for someone who is new to the department. Job role does not meet the expectations I was given prior to choosing the area.

The apprentice programme is very well organised as a whole but not on a departmental basis (maitenance)
