My Job Title is, apprentice engineer. I am currently studying my level 2 and 3 Engineering operations, electronics and welding. i do this 4 days a week and attend work 1 day a week. When I am at work, I am always busy shadowing technicians learning the skills on how to maintain and fix the machines in the factory.
Since starting the apprenticeship, i have learnt meany skills such as welding, using lathes and milling machines, hand fitting and maintain some of the machinery in the factory.
From coming out of sixth form and now working in a factory, the experience is great. i like working here with all the the people who are friendly and are there to help if you need any.
i feel as if i am valued by Premier foods, we have constant review meetings, to make sure everything is going okay with our training and how we feel like we are getting on there and at work.
The programme i am currently on is well structured, we have constant support, lots of training to keep us going until wi have finished my apprenticeship.
from our training provider we have constant support whether it is to do with college work or work. i am always being asked if i need support or if there is any extra training i need.
From the employer i receive many meetings about how i can improve, what Im doing well at and how are things at college whilst i am there 4 days a week.
