on a day to day basis I work along side different members of the engineering team on various maintenance jobs from break downs to PPM and plant overall work.
While working at Premier foods i have learnt an abundance of new skills as well as developing skills i already had. I see every day at work as an opportunity to pick up and enhance as many skills as possible for example different hand skills including filing, marking out, design and many other different skills which will aid my in my career as i get older.
I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship and would strongly advise anyone else looking into doing an engineering apprenticeship to try and get one with premier foods.
I feel very highly valued by premier foods because of the amount of time money and resources they have invested in my training as well as the amount of respect i am given by my colleges and how my opinion when voiced is taken into consideration and not just dismissed on account of the fact that i'm still an apprentice
now that im in my third year i would say my training has been well structured in order to deliver the best training possible
I receive all the support that i need from my training provider.
i receive the same for my employer
i manage with my salary but because i have high travel expenses and with the cost of insurance and that car its self i do sometimes struggle with paying for things
yeah i have a lot of opportunities outside of the workplace
Yes
because you get quality training whilst being paid
strive to be the best you possible
