Carrying out maintenance of various types on the sub assembly robot cells to ensure they are in peak working condition.
Various skills such as: electrical maintenance and installation, hydraulic maintenance and installation, mechanical maintenance and installation, welding, fabrication, fork lift truck driving, crane training.
They program is enjoyable, there are plenty of oppertunites for progression in the buiesness, I have made many new friends throughout the apprenticeship that I would have never known before.
I feel like a valued member of the team, both by those involed in the apprenticeship and those in the working environment.
The apprenticeship is structured quite well but I believe the experience could be improved by having a dedicated mentor/point of contact specifically for the maintenance apprentices etc.
The support from the training provider is good, with frequent progress reviews to evaluate how I am currently doing and if I need any more support
There is good support from the employer with many resources and departments to help out with any problems.
The salary is well above apprentice minimum wage, with pay rises every six months, and the opertunity to work shifts in the fourth year.
There are various oppertunites outside of work such as company organised events, discounts on local establisments, discounts/oppertunites to win tickets to big events.
Yes
It is a well structured apprenticeship with the oppertunity to learn many new skills as well as progress into a well known company
Use examples of any projects you have worked on in the past, such as a design and technology project, these help to show what skills you have and gives you an oppertunity to talk about how you planned/managed the project.
