My job title is a Project Manager Apprentice, day to day I reach out to consultants or premier field engineers and create a 3 minute video with them about their last customer interaction to try and help us sell more in the future. Alongside this, I also am completing my degree which is sponsored by Microsoft.
Yes,I was not at all very technical when I first started this job role and now I believe I know so much more, Microsoft has taught me how to have a Growth Mindset and also taken me onto an offsite with the company called Insights which has taught me lots about myself.
I enjoy my programme very much, I think the Apprentice Cohort I am in is extremely welcoming and friendly, it met my expectations fully. However, I wish that I was a member of the UK team rather than EMEA because I rarely get to see my team.
I feel very valued by my manager and the other apprentices.
The induction and training within my programme is very organised, they had some amazing activities planned for us which really helped us all connect and bond. Having one day off a week to study for my degree helps me a lot, I wish that we could have more days off however when exams are coming up.
We attend University once every 3 months and have a webinar every monday, so I wish that we got some more support form our training provider.
We recieve a lot of support from our employer, I know that I could go to anybody who works in HR and they would be happy to help me. My mentor is great at providing support that I will sometimes not recieve from my manager because he is in a different location to me.
For somebody who has had to re-locate for this job, I find myself struggling with money every month and having to go into my overdraft. Which is such a shame, I feel like everyone who's family lived closer to the campus get's ot experience a lot more freedom with the money they are earning.
Yes there are always a lot of events in which the company allow us to attend such as parties for work and talks surrounding out departments.
Yes
It's an amazing place to work, I always feel like i'm making a difference everyday and the company is trying to empower everybody.
Make sure that you remain positive and happy and show that you are ready to learn.
