Claims Support Consultant. I work as a support to a team of 10 Claims Consultants that promote claims to external stakeholders. My day to day tasks consist of a number of regular tasks such as Report writing, exception reports, claim reviews to ad hoc requests from the Consultants to running the accounts of several smaller Policholders
Developed my ability to build relationships with course arranged by RSA but run externally. Have achieved a pass in IF1, still need IF3&4. Review sessions run by Kaplan
There is a lot of work to build in alongside your day to day job, but the support by RSA and Kaplan has been great
They have supported me 100% in developing myself and my career
RSA use an external provider, Kaplan. They are very well placed to organise and structure the learning and I have had regular contact with them.
They are quick to respond to email and submitted work. We have a nominated case handler who is approachable through their Portal or email. They aim to review your progress face to face every quarter. there was a breakdown between case handlers when one left
As much as I require. I am pretty focused and motivated so take most of the work on, but whenever I need time or input from RSA they are very accomadating
I am undertaking this as a mature apprentice so have a full paying work role and am taking this alongside this. As much as I feel it would be good to have a better package, it supports my role and apprenticeship
I help run a local football club (adult side) as the Treasurer. I am a keen squash player and take part in a ladder league locally
Yes
I have been nothing but supported since I joined and although motivated to develop they have always facilitated this.
The interviews are generally competency based so just spend some time thinking of examples where you can show key skills (both work and social). Show self motivation and they will be happy to promote
