While working at Virgin Media i'm able to study & complete a higher level qualification as well as build and develop different skills such as working in a team, communication and problem solving. The programme is very flexible which I like and so far very enjoyable!
I feel very valued within Virgin Media. I often get appreciation from the work that I produce. For this reason I'm often given more involvement in different projects within the team I work in. I appreciate being able to get involved in different tasks which I might not have usually gotten exposure too.
My programme is set up as a day release therefore 1 day a week I attend college. At college I have my own Tutor who also attends workplace check-ins. My manager is also very supportive by offering guidance where needed and understands the importance of the training side of my apprenticeship. I like being able to continuously have time in college each week and to have that close structure between my contact time at college and my working day at Virgin Media.
I have a tutor who also attends workplace visits to see how I'm getting on in the workplace. Everyone is really supportive at my college and I know if i did have any problems i would have people i could turn too. On all of my assignments i get detailed feedback and appreciate the comments to be able to better myself and improve where i can for the future.
My Manager is supportive in understanding the needs for my college course and what i need to be able to do in order to acheieve the best i can in my qualificaiton. We have regular 121's and development sessions to help give me guidance and support with any problems i may have.

Virgin Media is a great place to work. Everyone is really friendly and supportive which is really important when your an Apprentice. Virgin Media also have a great company culture & proactive attitude to working which is great to be a part of.
Be prepared for the application processes. Do your homework on the company and the role you are applying for. Make sure you come across confidently and try to be yourself as much as you can. My onboarding experiance was really good and application process went smoothly. I didnt have to wait very long between the time I applied and all of the different interview stages. I also had a good relationship with the recruiter and knew if i had any pressing questions i could ask her.
