Planning and surveying sites to later write up packs the contractors will use to do the works.
Planning in general, identifying asbestos and other potential issues. I have gotten better at building rapport and communicating with customers
I enjoy the on the work training a lot but the actual programme has only just been structured.
The first week I felt very valued, they sent us to Birmingham to meet fellow apprentices and paid for us to stay in a good hotel with food. However since then I have not felt valued, I have had to ask around to find any information I can about my own apprenticeship because no one seemed to know what was happening until 7 months in.
It took 7 months for virgin media to bring in an external assessor so we could actually start towards the certification, so I now have less than a year and a half to complete a 2 year apprenticeship while also having working responsibilities
hard to say at the minute as they have just been brought in. However there is no guided learning time, you must teach yourself everything.
A lot of support from my local team withy my day to day work.
Extremely good pay, I just still struggle slightly with costs due to the distance I must commute every day.

Be yourself, virgin media want to mould younger people to suit job roles rather than going in with a set way of doing something which may prove difficult to change to suit virgin.
