My role is a Trainee Client Manager on a renewal team. My main objective is processing the renewals of my allocated clients as well as any mid term adjustments that are necessary. My daily tasks include responding to client queries and requests, producing policy documents, obtaining quotes from underwriters and liasing with our claims department.
The main skills that I have developed are organisation and communication, as these are key to my day to day job role. I have also learnt a lot about the Insurance Market as a result of the CII Qualification that I am studying for.
I am enjoying the apprenticeship programme alot so far. The work that I have completed in my job role and as part of the qualification that I am studying for is very interesting and rewarding. The team that I am in is full of great people to work with, and Aon as a whole have made me feel very welcome and valued within the company. The apprenticeship so far has exceeded my expectations and I am looking forward to the future with Aon.
Aon have made me feel very valued and appreciated. My team leader and line manager are very appreciative and quick to praise us. We also receive alot of recognition from senior members of Aon, and praise externally for passing our exams.
The apprenticeship is very well structured and organised, with clear timescales and objectives. This started with a fun two week induction and has continued through the programme, with monthly workshops. We receive a lot of support with our study and have regular meetings with our line managers to help us develop and progress.
We receive a lot of support from our training provider and they are always contactable if we have any queries. Our tutor is very good and ensures our workshops are fun, beneficial and very enjoyable. The content is delivered effectively and we always have the opportunity to ask questions to better our understanding.
My manager and team leader and both very supportive and always available should I need to discuss anything with them. The HR team are also in regular contact with us which allows us to raise any concerns should we have any. Overall the company has been very supportive and dedicated to our development.
The salary is very good for an apprenticeship and is enough to cover all of my costs for someone my age. Financial help is also available for travelling costs with schemes such as season ticket loans for train fares. Travel costs for training are also reimbursed which minimises the cost of attending workshops and seminars.
There are lots of external opportunities arising from the apprenticeship such as Global Service Day, in which we get to help our local community. I have also attended specific external apprenticeship events, as well as meeting various representatives of Manchester United. There is also a very good social life within the company and I have attended a lot of events outside of work, including playing 5 aside football with my colleagues.

I would definitely recommend the Aon Apprenticeship to any one that is looking to develop their career whilst obtaining qualifications and gaining vital experience in a job role.
Always be open minded as the assessment day for the apprenticeship is very fun and nothing to be afraid of. Everyone in the company is very friendly and wants the best for you. The apprenticeship offers lots of opportunities and i would definitely recommend applying for it!
