Audit Junior - visiting clients to ensure accounts are prepared in accordance with regulations and to detect any misconduct.
With every new client I visit I become more confident with my workload and increase my independent work.
I enjoy working with new people and take pride in the fact that I am developing the skills for a life long career. The days can be long but all senior staff are supportive.
When applying and interviewing with big audit firms I felt BDO showed the most value to its staff and personalised all stages of my application. I continue to feel valued and have regular appraisals with management.
BDO provides an online schedule to show client bookings. I will be briefed at the beginning of each job and will be aware of my expectations for the week
my study provider is Kaplan. Their website is very efficient and they respond to emails within 2 days
I receive regular support from my colleagues. I have been paired with a buddy who is one stage above me in training. I also have a counselling manager who I regularly email and meet with quarterly. We have lots of social events so I feel comfortable talking to most of the team.
As a school leaver I am happy with the salary I am on and look forward to progressing my wage. Travel expenses and overnight stays are fairly paid for.
We have lots of social events organised by our office. It is a great way to bond with the team.
