Manage a team of ten whose responsibility is to print, fulfil and despatch letters for customers with a wide range of different products. Monthly updates, weekly team buzz sessions and daily catch ups. Manage relationship with card production supplier. Monthly calls, service reviews, weekly stock checks. Monitor stock levels, review processes, looks at process improvement and improve customer journey.
Communication, influencing and persuasive skills training course at the start of the year. Insights training which looks at behaviours and different communication skills. Used different communication techniques and styles for the team. Have learnt to control my speech, slow down when talking and typing and remember that less is more. This has grown my confidence as I feel more in control of a situation (meeting, 121, presentation)
I find it a challenge and enjoy that I am being trained on how to use different skills to my advantage but to also improve my skills and take my team along the journey with me.
yes very
At the beginning it wasn’t very structured but now I have a tutor in place I feel more confident I can exceed successfully.
I receive enough support from my training programme to make me understand what is required and how to do it. I am a great believer of getting stuck in and not being afraid of tackling the assessments.
My manager supports me hugely. We discuss the programme on a regular basis and incorporate it into monthly and weekly 121’s.
everyone would prefer more money. I think I get treated fairly for my job
I have been extremely fortunate to have opportunities to do different things outside of working hours. Attended a graduates meeting at HSBC, presented on a conference call re Apprenticeship programme. Involved in a mixture of community lead functions, supporting the department and business.
