I am currently an associate working in the Entrepreneurial Business sector which mainly involves taking part in audits and accounts preparations. My main daily tasks are assisting the assistant managers complete an audit by auditing sections such as cash, debtors, creditors and fixed assets. As I have recently been promoted I will begin to take on new responsibilities such as trickier sections of a file and to begin to delegate work to and to help out the new starters to the firm. My daily interactions are with the audit team and with the client.
I have currently sat 3 exams that go towards my ACCA qualification and been on a variety of internal training courses to improve my auditing competencies and other skills such as networking and building relationships.
The work that I am given is challenging yet enjoyable. I enjoy working with the team and I think I fit in well to the company culture. It has exceeded my expectations.
I feel that I have been appreciated by managers due to limelight nominations. I am pleased with my feedback and rating for the year so I believe that I am valued and internally recognized. I have also received external recognition from clients.
The induction was very good and fun. I feel that the training has worked well throughout along with the studying at college. My mentor has been very helpful and I think that I have been given suitable work that allows me to push myself.
The tutor is very helpful and accessible by email and phone at any time. I have not had to ask for any help thus far.
I have had no problems to date but I know that my mentor and manager will be there to help me if needed.
As I currently live at home with my parents my salary covers my costs well due to low living costs. However if I were to live on my own then my salary may be a bit too low to cover my living costs and then to still have a decent amount left over.
There are sports teams such as football and cricket and we have access to the gym.
